Central Park

Located close to Panfilov park, the Central Recreation Park is a popular venue by the locals. Its main entrance is marked by a curved double row of Corinthian columns. It used to be called Gorky Park. The park is still known by Almaty-dwellers as Gorky Park. It is a popular place, especially on warm weekend days.

Inside the park there are such interesting places and activities as a dolphin show, aqua park, a lake where boating takes place, a children's amusement town, a toy railway, etc. This location is not very popular with newly-weds but with young moms who come here for a walk with babies.
