Old Square

Old Square, also sometimes referred to Astana Square, is dominated by the columned southern facade of the former House of Government, which accommodated Kazakhstan’s parliament until the move of the capital to Astana, and which now houses the KBTU (Kazakh-British Technical University).

Recently it has been renovated. New fountains, good-looking sets were added to the scene. Plus the square is used for public celebrations as Nauryz, Independence Day, etc.
